Gun Control

Scene Setting-
Starts with a plain, old neighborhood, which is what may be considered a “ hood." Everyone feels that they can carry a gun on them because they feel that if they are on the street, their lives are endangered. Police officer walking around two bodies laying, dead.

Police officer: Never seen something soo horrible! How could a fight get so out of hand, and why were these young men allowed to have a gun? i wonder, would i be here if these kids didn't have guns, would i actually be able to call these kids house and tell their parents, that they're ok and they have to be picked up? But, now i have to go to each parents home and tell them their kid is dead due to a fatal gun shot.

Flashback took place

Kevin- Yo, why you tryna’ talk all that smack, but not too my face?

James- Young bull, what you talkin’ bout forreal? I don’t care 'bout you. Listen, don’t step to me like that, cause next time, it’s a rap. Feel me?

Kevin – Aight youngin’ we’ll see 'bout all that then.

Lights on Stage Right
News reporter- BREAKING NEWS! Gunfire take place in the middle of York City. What caused this to take place? Now, two teen boys lay dead because of the gun violence that took place.

Interviewed person: This incident could have been prevent if we had gun laws, something to protect our society

Kevin's Mother - My boy Kevin was such a good boy. He wanted no trouble, but now everyone can run the streets with guns, so my boy ended up dead. I wish this could all change!

Rewind!! - Lights on Stage Left (Flashback)

Start again- Every one walks around, and they are all friends, but a fight attempts to break out.

Kevin- Yo, you be talkin’ 'bout me to my people?

James- Man, if I got something to say to you, then I'ma say it to YOU! Aiigh?

Kevin- Aiigh den bruh, so what ya’ll up too?

Pause

Narrator- See how everything went a different direction? It because we have gun control in our nation. Gun control prevents a lot of deaths that may occur, and even arrest that may be made. Do you feel gun control is needed in today's America? Do we realize the kind of trauma this may bring to our nation. Something as simple as a gun shot may define where ones life may go.
